Dogs Welcome, People Tolerated

About me
I’ve been working with dogs since 2012, developing a deep interest in canine behavior and therapy work through an SFSPCA internship. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the Karen Pryor Academy and previously owned and operated my own dog walking business in San Francisco for 6 years before moving to Portland in 2023.
I regularly attend seminars on dog aggression and play facilitation, staying committed to ongoing education in animal behavior. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor adventures with my dog Birdie, including hiking, camping, and cycling.

I lead small, structured off-leash excursions with no more than five dogs at a time. Each week on your set day and time I come to your house and pick up your dog(s). Dogs are never let off-leash until trust, confidence, and safety have been established. These outings focus on consistency, routine, and healthy play, while teaching dogs to read and respond to body language. The goal is to provide a safe, enriching environment where dogs can socialize, exercise, and develop important life skills. These expeditions take place just outside of Portland.

Science-Based Positive Reinforcement Training is founded on modern behavioral science and the principles of learning theory. This approach rewards desired behaviors to encourage lasting, cooperative habits rather than relying on fear or punishment. It builds trust, confidence, and clear communication between dogs and their humans, resulting in happier, more resilient dogs who enjoy learning.
